Web hosting is the computer that stores your website and sends it to anyone who visits, day and night. Every website on the internet pays for hosting in some way, whether it's a small café's site or a national chain's. If the hosting stops, the website disappears.
What you're paying for
- A server that's always on. Your website has to answer every visitor, at any hour, on any device.
- Security. Updates, backups and the padlock (SSL certificate) that browsers expect to see.
- Speed. A slow website loses visitors, and Google notices.
- Someone to fix it. When something goes wrong, there's a person to call.

Why our websites are free but hosting isn't
We build your website for nothing. What you pay is the hosting: £19 a month, from the day your website goes live. That's the cost of keeping it online, the same as every website. It isn't how we make our money: we hope that when you need something else, like online ads, business cards or tech support, you'll come back to us.
Your £19 a month also covers changes to your website and one business email address. There's no contract, so you can cancel any time. See everything that's included.
